Writer. Educator.
Caregiver.
Helping families find the words, support, and understanding they need through life’s difficult moments.
Hi, I’m Jill Jensen, a nurse with more than 30 years of experience, with much of my career focused on caring for children and supporting their families.
I’m a wife, step-mom, step-grandma and dog mom. I grew up in the Midwest and now live in Phoenix Arizona. My experience with loss began at the age of 8 when my dad died of colon Cancer. This experience shaped who I am, my career path, and who I’m yet to become. Writing about my experiences has promoted my own self-healing and hopefully my books and resources will help others who may be experiencing some of the same things I did.
Throughout my life experiences and my nursing career, I’ve seen and felt firsthand how difficult life’s challenging moments can be for children—and how important it is to have the right words, tools, and support to help them understand what they are feeling.
My passion for helping children and families has grown beyond the healthcare setting and into storytelling and resource creation. I believe stories can open doors to conversations that may otherwise feel too difficult to begin.
Through my books, workbooks, and educational resources, my hope is to give families simple, compassionate tools to help children and caregivers (parents, grandparents, foster parents …) feel understood, supported, and less alone.
